We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support.
Today marks the 10th anniversary of our founding. Since our founding in 2016, we have continued to explore new possibilities in space development.
Ten Years of Progress and Establishment of the “Soft Prime” Model
One of our notable achievements over the past decade has been our participation in the joint Japan-European project to develop a Cloud Profiling Radar (CPR) for the EarthCARE (Cloud and Aerosol Radiation Mission) satellite, where we successfully completed the development of the radar’s transmitter and receiver subsystem. The project will enter the regular operational phase in 2025, and with normal operation in orbit, our activities will contribute to the realization of a better society by improving the accuracy of climate change predictions. The knowledge we gained through this mission and the achievements we made in collaboration with domestic and international partners have given us great confidence and laid the foundation for establishing our business model as a “soft prime” that drives space development projects by utilizing and specializing in “soft assets” such as space engineering, space program management, and domestic and international space networks.
The next 10 years of challenges
Now, the technology and experience we have cultivated to date have become a solid foundation, leading to even more ambitious projects such as lunar exploration projects, full-scale development of LEO constellation satellite onboard technologies, and demonstration of new technologies aimed at utilization not only near Earth but also on the moon, planets, and deep space. Furthermore, a wide range of challenges are beginning to bear fruit, including the demonstration of 10Gbps-class optical communications between a geostationary satellite and the ground using the Engineering Test Satellite-9 (ETS-9), scheduled for launch in fiscal year 2026, and research and development in the fields of light and quantum science aimed at social implementation. Looking ahead to the next decade, we will leverage our experience to strengthen and expand our organizational foundation, continue to be “challengers” ourselves, and, together with our partners who share the challenge, do our utmost to “reliably demonstrate our technology” and “realize our vision.”
We are deeply grateful for the past 10 years, and we ask for your continued guidance and encouragement as we step into a new stage.
